For my roof, I am using 2 layers of 1/8 luan. I am using titebond to glue the second layer to the first layer. Is it ok to thin the titebond with water in order to make the glue earier to spread?

If someone say's it's okay to use Titebond, I 'd use Titebond III and you could wrap in it a heating pad to make spread easier? :?

I dunno, let's let the smart people answer.

Titebond III is a great product. It would hold two layers of skin together without a problem.

But I've never heard of anyone trying to thin it...

I guess we'll wait for the glue experts to arrive!

It's not recommended to thin any woodworking glue that comes in a bottle. If your having problems spreading the glue use a plastic Bondo spreader like I do. You can find them almost anywhere including your local auto parts store. If the glue dries on the spreader just hit with a hammer and peel the dried glue off. It'll be good as new for the next time. :D Danny
