Has anyone seen the pics of the tear that has the split rear doors?

Are you talking about a Modernistic design that has a regular lift up hatch with two swing out lower doors where the rear lower radius of the ellipse is?
If that's the one, I think Nick Taylor has a picture of it.

Here's a wild story, I built a 1951 Chevy panel, trick paint, wheels etc... went to PJ's one night after work. The mob was wanting to get into the action in Anch. rigged up some sort of a fire bomb to the building, police showed up and the photo showed up on the morning paper, with my truck in front of the paper. There was only 1 truck that looked like this in Anch at the time. 1972, I was only 19. I had some explaining to do for dad the next AM. I was a dumb 19 year old...... My neighbor here in Ca. knows all the same hangouts. Thanks for the reply. Doug Hodder

Jason,
Nick Taylor goes by Nick Taylor
Go to the Hall of Fame and click on Nick's Ken-Skill, that will take you to his website. Another member to ask about finding a picture to that teardrop would be Gage (Gage's Scotsman in the Hall of Fame)
I'd check their websites for a picture of one of those types of teardrops.
I seem to remember a canary yellow colored one that was like that too, but I don't know who the owner is. (It had a neat colored accent stripe down the side)
Hope this info helps.

Doug,
"Gee Dad... Yaa that does look a lot like my truck..." (Good one)

Yeah....
I had a few "good ones' that I had to explain to my Dad too.
(A couple of my not so briliant stunts back then)
Unfortunately he died in 1980, so we never did get to enjoy those good laughs, but at least I survived my early ways and I can laugh about it now.

Hey Dean......dad is still there, maybe not physically, but just have a laugh anyway and include him in on it. He'll get it wherever he is. Doug Hodder

Oh, you're talking about a trailer. When I read the thread title "Split Rear" I thought you were talking about asphalt.
