Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

We have recently decided to build our own TD. Before starting, we have begun looking at various sites showing the construction of the TD. I believe that we will use the Kuffle Creek plans as they appear to cover every last detail. Here are a couple questions, probably the first of many:

-For sealing the underside of the floor, could a quality deck sealant be used instead of the black tar? Does the tar provide a more complete seal against the elements?

-For the corner, door trim I see that aluminum seems to be the material of choice. Are similar moldings available in some sort of plastic material or is the aluminum just superior? I am concerned about bending it around the various radii.

You can seal your floor with almost anything. The evil smelling black goo is just cheaper.

to the playground NewFour. Remember to keep up with the so the bubble oil will be good and level.

I am thinking about using spray on rubberized under coating. I will do the frame and the under side of the floor before I lay it down.

Use cheap roofing coating. It never really hardens. I did my floor 1.5 years ago, then took a building hiatus.... I recently put in some eye-bolts and fender washers, they sunk right into the goo... when I put the floor on the frame, the goo squeezed onto the frame, no air space....

It just isn't that complicated..... 7 dollars a gallon at h/d or lowes.
