I will screw through the wall into the floor through aluminum trim. What is the best way to seal out the elements in terms of chemical or material. Is it adheasive caulking or rubber weather stripping or something else. Please edgeamacate me.

I would screw down through the interior wall frame before you put the interior covering on....

Oh yea, definately. I will attatch the bottom plate to the framing members of the wall. It will be a solid piece when it is complete. I just don't know what the best way is to seal out the outside. I want something that will be durable and will stay plyable to allow for expantion and contractin of the aluminum siding. It won't move much but of it is sealed with a hard compound it will eventually leak.

aor, my preference for such things, is a 1 part urethane based sealer such as auto windshield sealer...there are specific products such as SikaFlex 221, 252 and 3m 5200 but they can be hard to find...the auto windshield, also known as Evil Black Stuff, can be found at any auto body supplier and most auto parts store...

p.s for a cheaper fix, look for WhiteLightning 3006, an acrylic based ADHESIVE, with silicones in it...less than 4 bucks a tube(vs 10-15) at many box stores...I have been using this lately and have been impressed with it so far and unlike the urethanes, it can be cleaned up with water and comes in several colors........MJ

I have heard the windshield stuff called "dumb dumb" . I don't know if would be the right application hear but I can see it having its used elswhere. Thanks for the tip. I will look for the WhiteLightning 3006 as you mentioned. I wonder if you have ever seen a tip for these tubes that eill allow you to apply it in a blind application. i.e. around a corner or on the edge of the floor after it is installed and the wall is on top of it causing a tight fit. I could go to the hardware store with a tube in hand and make something.
