The Northwoods is nearing completion. Were going to the St. Croix Gathering in the Twin Cites this week end. I have been going like crazy to get done and it is rewarding to put on the finishing touches. One a scale of 1-10, Mrs, Bigwoods gave me a 5. Pretty good. I was expecting an 8. In the morning I have to make hatch prop rods and touch up a bit. I also need a bumper in the back and some other goodies. So here's some pix. I'll get some better ones in the daylight.

So that how it is looking. Hope it don't leak too bad. Mrs. Bigwoods is making curtains and a quilt that probably won't get finish till winter.

Might need it this weekend. Temps will be about 29 at night. Glad I installed the electric heater. Thanks Mike and Kerry and Doug and Madjack and others for the experience. I appreciate all your help and support.

Congratulations Greg....I remember when you first started this project! You really did an outstanding job on it! Kinda cool to sit back now and check it all out after all those months of effort huh? Give yourself a big pat on the back guy, you deserve it, now go have some fun and prepare your "tour talk". I dare you to not say you haven't thought about another one....  Great job Greg! just great! Doug

Thanks Guys. Thought Doug would appreciate the license plate light. It is from a 48-49 Plymouth. Fits the curve of the hatch just right. I'll get a better photo in the daylight.

Greg...I must apologize...I didn't notice that light....I was wowed by the rest of it all and I don't recall you mentioning that you were doing that. Nice touch...it's really cool to incorporate something like that, something from a vintage vehicle that way too many people have never seen and make it a focal point on your project, whether it be badging, hood ornaments or trunk lights! Thing is...seeing that, people are going to believe it's an authentic vintage tear....just let them keep on thinking that...I wish that others would do the same thing....Hey...anyone can get a new light! You went the extra mile to find, adapt and put on something trick! Great out of the box thinking! Doug

You have build a beautiful tear. I'll have give you way more than a 5 on that build! Your judge is way too harsh. Hope mine will be as nice when I am able to finish my build.

I really like your details - louvers, colored panels, plate light and others. They turn a white box into a nice camper.

She maybe gives you a "5" right now - that's just to keep you "in line" - just wait 'til she takes over telling everyone how great this thing is - then you know the true score!! :applause: I think when it comes to "Teardrops" the scale should go to "11" and yours is probably close!!
