Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Wife and I like the look of the TD from RollinOak (.com) It's our inspiration for the general shape of our build. Any idea what these fenders are from and where I can get them, or something similar?

only having a limited knowledge of old American motors I would guess 1940 Ford pick-up.

Mine are aluminum diamond plate from Northern Hydraulics.. not at all what you are looking for, but I mention it for others who might be.

I think they're mid-to-late'30s Chevy pickup fenders, fiberglass repros. Check in a street/hot rod magazine for fiberglass parts mfgs. like Gibbons, Superior, AI, Fairlane, Poli-Form, and others.

Hi Grant, Them look like the same fenders almost as Gage has on his tear.
Or close.

PS They sure look like 39 -41 Ford Fenders.

Maybe I cant help much but here is a fender from my 46 1/2 ton Chev truck.

37, 38 & yet 39 Chev if I remember has the bead along the edges of the fender but still I think the fenders above are not from them years. Could be mistaken still. I still guess ford.



Not exactly the same even though close. 42 - 46 have the same fenders.

By the way.. Just looked on the Rollin Oak website and
A photo came up that says. The standard model has 2 1937 style fiberglass Chevy Truck Fenders.

I was even wrong on my own guessing

So there be the answer..

What I offer are fiberglass reproductions of several vintage teardrop fenders, as well as some designs of my own. I limit my offerings to typical teardrop type fenders, and as we've been discussing, the ones on the Rollin'Oak Teardrop that you like so well are from a '37-ish Chevy/GMC pickup. I'd be happy to sell you a pair of mine ... ... but if you've got your heart set on the ones you showed, then by all means, go for those ...

Because of the bead around the lower edge and wheel opening, the guy across the street says they are 1937 Chevy truck fenders. $200 each from Superior Glass in Oregon.
