Well what did you use?

How long has it lasted?

Did it do a good job?

I used Helmsman spar varnish at firs. Don't think I got enough layers on because the ply cracked and grayed under it.

Second time I put marine epoxy then Minwax Clear Sheild. It seems to be better and is certainly more the ambered look I was after.

3 coats of 3 to 1 mixture mineral spirits and spar urethane...
2 coats of Kilz....
3 coats of Rustoleum enamel (aluminum finish)

So far no problems! Just finished the tear about 6 weeks ago. The acid test will be after it sits outside all winter uncovered!

2 coats CEPS
3 coats primer
5 coats Valspar Supreme Acrylic Enamel

I haven't finished my tear yet so I don't know about lasting properties. It looks good though!

spar urathane 2 coats

zinzer oil based primer 3 coats

rust oleum brush on oil based 3 coats

holding up well although i will be repainting it in the spring. not because of any material failure, just because i was kinda rushed when painting it and it shows to my eyes.

with any project, take your time and you wont have to do it again.

I'm with Tinksdad... that min/urethane mixture really sinks in and encapsulates the wood fibers, making them impervious to water intrusion...then a good primer....then paint... Doing a good paint job involves a Lot of surface prep and sanding/cleaning between layers... Done right it will last many years ....done hastily without proper prep, you'll be touching it up next season... :o

Duraback truck bed liner. Very happy with it. But if I had to do it over I would just go to the rhino-lining dealer and have him apply it. It would have been the same price with out the hassle.

I'm repainting in the spring!! Not because of anything to do with water-proofing. I'm just not happy with the color. I wanted some red on the tear when I started and don't now why I changed in mid-stream. It will be red in the spring!!
