I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to keep a shine on painted aluminum? Is there a clear coat I can put on it or it is what it is and live with it?

Thanks Big DE

...without knowing what type of paint was used, a clearcoat would probably be a waste of money...unless you were sure of compatibility...I would think, a good auto wax, would be the way to go..........

DE, more than likely, the finish is a baked on, alkaloid paint, similar to what used to come on cars before base/clearcoat paints...you could probably ask at an auto paint supplier if they have a recommendation for a clearcoat for alkaloid paints...I have been told by auto body men that most auto clearcoats are too "hot" to apply over alkaloids, causing them to "wrinkle" up...like I said above, a good auto wax with UV inhibitors would probably be the way to go............
