Coner molds or welding?

Just picked up a 56 teardrop, that has had the back hatch replaced. Unfortunately it does NOT have the molding on the seems.

So I was wandering would it be easier to Weld the whole seem in stead of using molding?

Also has anybody ever used that stuff on TV to repair aluminum: It comes in sticks and supposedly you only need a propane torch?

Thanks
Greg

It's called alumaweld and it's available at Harbor Freight-of course! I don't know if it works or not but I have always been curious.
