Winter Build

I'm putting together a simple 5-by-10, based on the profile used for Peg's T/D.
I have enough left-over metal for the frame, some left-over ply, axle, wheels and fenders. All just collecting dust.
The plan is to build a basic unit, then sell it on E-bay.

I usually do, until I get the feeling that I'm boring folks.

Yup. Even the "boring" and mundane is a huge help to us. Many builders who document often include the major steps in the build, but I think the beginners (others too) really can gain a lot of insight when the small stuff is included too.

Frame steel cut, mostly welded. I ran out of wire for the welder.
I'll hit Tractor Supply on the way home tomorrow night.

I was going to narrow the 58" Flexride axle I have. Decided to leave it alone, since I'll be selling it. I don't want the new owner to have a problem, if I mess it up.

So, I'm moving ahead with a 5' wide version of Peg's trailer.

Ok, I got stalled out..ran out of wire for the welder.

I finished the welding today.



The frame is 5' wide, and 6' long.

I did the side rails in 1-by-2-by-3/16" c-channel. The steel was left over from Peg's project.

The Cross members and angle iron body mounts were left overs from the 'Rondack.

The axle was in the shop. I originally got it for the 'Rondack, but went with a #3500 axle. (For the brakes). This one won't need brakes, so I used the #2000 Flexride that I had.

I made a wider perch for the axle with a second section of C-Channel.



I'll clean it up and paint tomorrow.
