Hello Everyone,
Does anyone have pictures showing their door and galley latches and how they installed them? I know alot of people get their handles from here,
http://www.austinhardware.com/default.asp?
they have so many types that I am not sure what to get. I know I need the lock with inside handle and a handle for the outside. I think that I also need a striker plate for each door. Which hardware for the galley lid? Thanks for the help, Don

Dboyd, Maybe this will help. I just installed these recently. I got them from RW Johnson but I think that they are available at many places. I haven't installed the hatch latch yet but it is basically the same type. All 3 doors will be keyed alike. George.

I purchased the door and hatch hardware from Johnson and have several pics on my web site about installing them. They work great and are keyed alike. I used the striker plate from Johnson for the hatch but made a couple for the side doors with a piece of angle.

I bought the GD303 "L" Handles for my doors and the BP GD205 "T" handle for my hatch from Austin Hardware was able to get them all keyed alike, the price was good, but the cost of shipping was more than the handles themselves were still cheaper than getting them fro other teardrop stores. If you are not concerned about getting they keyed alike, you can go to any major hardware stores like Lowes, and by the exact handle in the garage door section.

I purchased my door handles from RW Johnson also. went up and picked them up with some other items from him in person. He's a good guy to work with. I'm really happy with the S type handles that I got from him. a T handle for the hatch. The door handles and the deck hatch couldn't be keyed alike, but not a big deal. I wanted a good quality chrome plated cast door handle, and I got it. Now all I need to do is get the doors on the tear so I can install the handles. Doug Hodder

Is there an e-mail address to contact RW Johnson?
I can’t find it in the web site.

My walls ended up 1 ½ inch thick. Went to HD and bought standard exterior door knobs with the elongated handles that resemble the old fashioned lever handles. Haven’t got to the hatch latch yet.
