My 1948 Modernaire project has reached a stage where I can sit back for a while. It is finished in grey primer with a dark red accent stripe on the molding. The top has been stripped and scuffed with sanding sponges but will be left as bare aluminum. The interior is painted with new latches on the cabinets. I can take it camping now. It is kind of like a rat rod with the rough aluminum, various patches, the primer finish, and the painted original cabinet wood. Maybe I should call it a rat drop. No, not rat droppings! There are a few more pics in my private album.

Looking good! I like the, ahem, "vintage" look. Seriously, it's got more character in one dent than in an entire Winnebago! :applause: After all, what more do you really need to go camping?
