Construction Update

Thanks to everyone for all the advice so far. I went with Poly Construction Adhesive for the 2nd roof layer. Time will tell if that was the right decision, but it was pretty easy to work with.

Ordered door "Parts" from Grant @ Lil'Bear today. The build continues.

Camping in the Spring?

Thanks for the nice comments. I do plan to go the woody route, but I think I’ll have to inject some practicality is a few places. I’m not a purist….

We do have summer in Estes Park. I think this year it’s scheduled for August 7th!

I'm worried about the placement of your wheels.
How far from the back are they?

The frame is 5' X8' and the axel is about 42 inches from the rear (about 6 inches from center). It's a torsion axel.

The camera angle makes it look a lot more forward than it is.

I will have a spare tire mounted underneath (roughly 2 feet from the front of the frame) and a tongue box well forward of center as well.
