Cabinet Doors Now Complete - Update pics

Well with my door making skills and experience at rookie stage I couldnt wait to show you the interior cabinet door 1 that is complete except for varnish. Finnish Birch outer and Mahogany inside.

The interior of the tear will be a combo of Finnish Birch and the Mahogany
mixed in some form or another. Wife wishes the same also.

Its a basic looking door but will look nice after its been varnished and the door handles have been applied. Mitered corners also. Inner edges routered slightly.

Well thats what I came up with on my skills. Now I need to find them pewter animal sculptured door knobs and handles. ;) The door panel is sunken and set 5mm into the outer frames so its not just glued in the back.

Here,s the type of door knobs that will be added.

Here are some more of the Wildife Door Knobs. Dont know which yet but we,ll have some of them. The moose is an appealing one. :D

Very nice job - not just for a rookie but for anyone. Your joints look nice and tight. If I recall you had very limited selection of tools available to you. Very nice indeed.

Hi there Eric, Thank you for the compliments. Yes I have only basic tools. nothing to brag about. But determination is about it. ;)

Ahh gee Dave coming from a pro such as you are you make me blush.

I cant think of anything else to add to these doors except the marine varnish. Maybe 2 or 3 coats. Is that enough? Or should I do more?

Okidoki

Door number 2 is ready. And shortly I,ll be starting on the radio panel that is in the photos .

Here are a few new pics. They still need to be sanded & varnished. Also somthing is missing from the middle of the doors in our opinion since there is empty space we,ll see what can be designed there.
