Diamond Plate

I am looking to install some diamond plate on the TD to protect it from rocks. I plan to install a piece on the front as far as my paint has been chipped and also on the front of the fenders and the bottom of the hatch. I looked into the faux vinyl DP that War Pony used (good idea, BTW) but I have issues with its useful life and how to attach individual pieces. In my searching for a viable alternative to a heavy piece of DP, I ran across this website: http://www.cutsmetal.net/cogrdipl.html

It looks like the .024 DP is not very strong, but I would think it to be useful as a rock guard (as long as I don't walk on it). Has anybody on the forum had any experience with this material? It looks like it is easy to work with and has the appeal as standard DP for aesthetics and surface protection. Thanks in advance for your replies!

That's where I got my diamond plate. I ordered the .045. Thick enough to not dent easily but still easy to bend. The advantage of ordering from them was they cut each piece I needed to size and I trimmed it to fit during install. Their cuts were better than any I could have done myself.

How much do they charge for it? The .024 and the ..045.

Never mind, I just found their pricing.

Thanks, Lorn
