It has been used before (bobhenry comes to mind), but I believe that most folks here wouldn't recommend it. I'd spend a bit more money and get a quality exterior grade plywood, especially if you are going to paint it. Plywood treated with epoxy will give you a nice smooth base to paint. Painted OSB looks like...well, painted OSB.

Don't do it. Don't use USB. You'll probably regret it, in more ways than one.

I worked for a lumber yard as a delivery driver, (84 Lumber and they know NOTHING about plywood by the way) and after seeing hundreds of job sites using OSB I would never ever use if I could possibly help it. Even if you can somehow smooth it out to look good painted, like Mike said, you will regret it I'm sure. If you're going to put the time and effort into a teardrop you'll be much happier if you put a little money into at least a few key materials.

NO NO NO NO NO Do NOT use it.
Take it from the poorest and cheapest person on this forum. You will regret it.
I saved 2 weeks extra to get the ply rather then the OSB.
I built my daughters rooms and used OSB on the outside walls, and painted OSB looks like... Hmmmm Ever look down into a porta-potty??? there ya go
