Been planning for a few weeks to go to some surplus yard/yrailer graveyards in Elkhart. Meanwhile, I go to recycle some fencepost at the local metal yard. Finding a trailer on the fast track to destruction, I ask to salvage some windows. With nothing more than some tin snips a hammer, and an hour, I get these.

Naturally, the screws the manufacturer used were propietary! Dirty rats.

Thinking I may not like the mix of sizes, I go back to get a few more for two minutes...only after getting a cordless circular saw. Muah ha ha!

Cost of 6 windows: $10
new powertool: priceless!

Not quite as good a score, but the sink and light fixtures going into my TTT rebuild are from a defunct motor home I ran across at the scrapyard...

Gotta love recycled bits! :)

Nice find!

Sounds like you need a "clutch head" screwdriver, or bit for your drill.
It fits those screws that look similar to a butterfly.
