Need your advice folks...
I currently have this wood hauling trailer...the dimensions of just the bed are: 8' x 4'6"

It has a 3,500 lb axle and tracks great behind the truck empty or loaded, but is 3' from ground level to the top of the bed...so is a bit high for loading rounds of firewood.

Here's some pics..i hope they are visible....

Thanks for any input or advice.

Steve

Let us know what you're trying to do....

Do you want to build a tear on it, or just remodel it for hauling wood?

 Kinda high unless you are making an off road td. If it doesn't run too rough then take all that excess wood off and go for it. 8)

Course you could sell it and get a lower one.

Or you could change out the axle.... 8)

Strip all the wood off the top. The axle looks to be mounted below the springs. If so, switch it to above the springs for a few more inches of clearance.

I think what he meant was a few less inches of ground clearance (which would make it easier to get in and out of)
