woody cub, questions

think I have decided on going with a cub profile and doing it as a woody. Kind of thinking using white aluminum for the top. How would that look? Anyone have any pics of a woody cub? Just to get this straight, is it recommended to coat all sides of the plywood with epoxy, or just the outside and edges? What about roof, if I use aluminum? Recommendations on which epoxy system to use? Leaning towards CPES as 50, 50 mix seems easier to get right. Every time I mix body filler or pc7(2 part epoxy filler)j-b weld, seems like I get too much or not enought hardener so it either dries to fast or never dries.

I don't recall seeing a woody with an aluminum roof. You'd be the first! I think it sounds like it'd look really cool. I wouldn't think there would be too much more to consider compared with the epoxy/paint sides w/ the aluminum roof.
Hope others concur, I'd like to see it!

Personally, I think the white might washout a bit with the white if you use a lighter would like red oak finished natural, beech, or ash. It seems like if you have a bit of contrast that it might make the trim pop out a bit. White oak finishes natural as kind of a cocoa powder color, which might be nice, but after looking through all the pics I think that the polished aluminum, if you are going to use aluminum looks pretty fine.

While I just sold it, my TD had luan grained sides and aluminum wood. If that is what you mean.

Aaron....I've done a couple of tears with an aluminum roof and wood sides. I only coated out the exterior sides and the edges, but put a lot of time and effort into making sure those edges were completely sealed. I didn't bother to seal the sub ply under the aluminum on the roof. I didn't float the roof, used Roberts swimming pool carpet cement under it, troweled on with a notched trowel. West System epoxy with the metered pumps will ensure a perfect cure every time, I've been using it for 10 years now. Other epoxy systems will work as well, but I'd highly recommend the metered pumps.
