So on my build, I have a microwave, air conditioner, port-a-potty, storage cabinet, and RV power converter on the left. On the right I have the door and a thermoelectic refrigerator. I am deciding where to put the battery. It would be much easier to mount it on the left (same cabinet as the RC power converter) but something tells me I should put it on the right to help balance things out left to right. Will it matter?

Keeping the balance might not matter now but as your springs settle it might.

Balancing it out is easy: Put a keg of beer in the fridge!

I don't think balance right to left is all that important, but balance front to back certainly is. Check your tongue weight and select a location that will help that.

Yes, it will matter, to a degree. A few pounds off will not matter, but if you can see the TD lean, I would suggest you try to balance it out better.

I use my gear to balance my TD front-to-back, and I'm sure you can do the same side-to-side.

Side to side weight balance is very important for good handling!

As Casey stated, a "few" pounds won't make a big difference, but it is very important to keep it balanced to at or near the factory plan.
They did it the way they did it for a reason...

Only good on the trip there how about the return trip

On the return trip the keg and potty have to swap sides.
