For my friend Kate's td we used a composite material........molding for bathrooms that I found at Home Depot.
It's been working great and cost just about $3 for an 8' piece.

I got mine for about $6 at Mobile-Mart... luckily , have one here in OKC.
Whatever you use, it is nice to have ... I was missing the top weather stripping on my door and had a few downpours, but avoided leaks!

Any RV parts place can get you the stuff I used. Its called "Drip Cap" and I think I paid about $6.50 for 36 inch lengths. Looks like this:

...I got mine thru a local RV dealer...around 3bux a piece and I painted them black to match...they work extremely well in keeping the rain out/off of the "slider" style windows.....................
