2nd build question

i know it is all about wieght, but i do have this one question. on this weekender i'm going to do, iwould like to use ship lap siding on the exterior with a 1x2 framing and 1/8" interior, any thoughts please, would the trailer be to heavy then?

I think 3/4 inch ship lap that you use on a house might be pretty hefty for a Tear. But then again, I shouldn't throw rocks, my tear could have used some belt tightening!!!

Depends on what total weight you are looking for. KD pine weighs appx. 1.5 lbs. per bd. ft.(or appx sq. ft.) 2- 4x8 sheets worth is appx. 96 lbs. We used 3/4" oak ply on ours and it weighs appx. 75 lbs. each!

I'm not familar with ship lap siding... anyone got a pic to enlighten me?
On my house I use 3/8" cedar siding. Or maybe it's 1/2". I dunno. But I do know it's really light, and the insects hate it. And it's an outdoor wood, so it lasts and lasts and lasts...

Shiplap is a tapered siding where the thicker bottom overlaps the thinner upper edge like how shingles are applied, except these are long boards

Ah, okay, I understand. It goes on very similar to my cedar siding...
Why is ship lap so heavy?
Here's a pic of the type of cedar siding I use. It really is very light...
