Thanks Gage!

Another fellow said he had the same vent on his house. (See link below.)

If I read Arne's post correctly, he said he had one in his 1936 house that looked like it. So now you get to ask yourself, is it 30's or is it 50's?

...not only that but I have seen that same vent(or similar) on a mobile home we had for a camp...built in the 70's, on a camper my uncle had, built in the 60's and I dare say it is still being built so just pick a time period and say...OK
madjack 8)

p.s. if it has any #'s onit, you might wanna contact Hehr and see if you can get a date of manufacture...MJ

Hey Prem, you going to be at Shasta next year? By the way, if you find a source for these vents, please let me know. I would like to put one of those on the tear that I'm rebuilding.

Gage,

Sorry to be getting back to so late. I was in Redding.

Grant's Dam Gathing 2010? Yeah. Most likely. Why?

BTW, in Redding I stopped in at an RV dealer and they said they have never seen that chain-spring vent in any of their current catalogs.

My current build is documented in MEMBER DESIGNS under ROUND TAIL.
