HOW MUCH NATUROL LIGHT IS GOOD AND HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH INSIDE A TEARDROP IN REGARDS TO THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT, PRIVACY, AND LETTING IN TOO MUCH LIGHT AT NIGHT IF YOU ARE IN AN OVER LIT CAMP GROUNDDIDE WINDOWS ENOUGH? SKY LIGHTS, WHAT ELSE WORKS?

build as much "Natural Light" in it that you want--could bring a new meaning to the term "Lookee Loos" And tarps make great protection from L/L when that added protection is needed--the best of both worlds depending on the timing.

About the ORIGINAL question, though -- there is a lexan topped teardrop on this forum, which sounds ideal for star gazing at night! The owner mentions it being a greenhouse in summer, though. Get his opinion on "how much natural light"! BobHenry, you around?

Yep !

No such thing as too much beer , too much sex , and too much light.

You are only in at night 90% of the time so the greenhouse effect is only in the dog days of summer. An old guilted comforter and a couple space blankets take care of the light and insulation problems.

However I did decide to build "the barn" for those hot summer gatherings and the below zero shivarees. These are both extremes that can be avoided by simply staying home.

We really love the night sky and you should see giant snow flakes exploding on your roof talk about hypnotic.

It is the single best feature on any of my builds and we love it. It doesn't dent doesn't discolor , doesn't delaminate , and never needs painted.

I was at the Whaling Museum back home in New Bedford, MA, a few weeks back, and saw the deck prisms they used to embed in the decks to cast natural light below decks. In a small space like a TD, I think it'd be a unique feature, and they really do cast some light, and are just so beautiful. I thought I might put one in mine to remind me of back home on Cape Cod.
