One very common sense piece of advise I give when asked

"What can I do about Spring Back"?

Use materials that Don't Spring Back.

I use a piece of FRP, good side in for the base and the aluminum over that. Edged with

All materials have a very low "Spring Back" rate.

On the topic of spring back, if I preroll the aluminum, will that tend to minimize springback? I have access to 2 slip rollers.
