Yep, same teardrop. Different cameras and different angle. The pic on the left was taken by a Polaroid camera. My tear is 5' wide. With 6 sq ft of counter top (when pulled out). Dare you to find that much in a Motorhome. ;)

I have 9 foot of counter and use every bit of it.

No slider though , just hinges and flop down counter / pantry door.

In this last picture I am not sure if you can make it out but there are 2 heavy duty 4" butt hinges mortised into the cabinet box and also the sidewall. The floor offers some support in the cantilevered out position. Since the extended cabinets hold up the weight of the hatch I use 2 screw jacks to assist the cabinets by transfering the hatch weight to the ground.

Storage is still a problem so I am down yet another path for a larger galley.

The Wishbone Wagon a mobile chuck wagon with 48 cubic feet of storage lockers and a 4' wide by 20" deep galley at the rear and 2 ~ 36" wing tables that will be installed outboard one right and one left. The build thread is in the tiny house section in my tiny barn on wheels thread.

Man I only got one thing to say ~~~~~DAMN~~~~~

That is Oh so sweet. I have to fold in the flip outs at night to be coon proof. You on the otherhand could leave your counter extended and have a hugh storage area for the coolers and dryboxes in the rear where the counter stores in transport. Meanwhile I am toteing mine to and from the car for protection after dark.

Wish I had been thinking :x

Neil and Ramona
That is a nice idea the way you did your slide out. I realy like it.
With the canopy on the side and a fast way to lock everything up. I may have to copy that Idea.

Thanks,
David.

PS do you have any photos of your build. :D

wow... now that is an idea!... I was wondering what you are using for slides? You've inspired me to go back to the drawing board... again... for the umpteenth time... damn it....now thinking that with the slide out I could have either extra sleeping space / living space or try to design some sort of... well... um.... potty room?

That is a great idea, could use old hardware from a Pop up bed slide out. That should be strong enough. Or build the slide out, put it on non swivel caster wheels on one end and use garage door tracks or garage door tracks and bearing wheels

Got to see Neil and Ramona's slide in person this weekend. Pictures don't do it justice. It's a work of art!!
