Should I use the free windows?

A good friend gave me these unused shed windows. They're made to frame into 1 1/2" framing.
Pros: They're free. They fit in my door. They've never been used. They're free.
Cons: They're a little heavy. My doors are only 1 1/8" thick. I can trim them out. They're white. I really need black or mill finish.
What would you do?

Most RV windows disassemble easy. Either use a wire wheel to remove the white or shoot them black.

You my want to look at what happers when the windows are open and you open the door. If they crank out then they may hit the side of the trailer when you open the door.
Thanks,
David.

That isn't really a problem... I ran a decrative rope from an eyelet in the door to one in the door frame.. they only open to 90 degrees...
given that windows cost at least $40, no doubt I'd paint them and use them.... no doubt at all.... but I repeat myself....

If you are worried about the windows being opened and hitting the side of the trailer just add a door stop.
Free is good!!!!

I’d use them-
Better yet- I’ll give you my address- you send them to me- I WILL use them- and I’ll tell you how it turns out.
Free is a really good price!
My vote is to use them.
If the glass is a concern then disassemble them and pop in some lexan or other safety glass.

I'd say go for it you can always change out the doors later and put in different windows which is what I'm doing. For heavier doors go with piano hinges. I know where you can get some heavy duty ones real cheap like $5 off an old ambulance. I PM'd you
