Desert Tear Drop Plans?

Posted: Thu Dec 31, 2009 10:12 pmI bought a set on Ebay when I first bought my Scad-A-Bout so that I would have some basic steps to help guide me, but I found them of little use, especially after the fact they promised to provide support but they never responded to emails or on their website, so I would not advise buying there product . Others may have good results with them, I can only speak for myself.

Posted: Fri Jan 01, 2010 10:57 amI used Desert Teardrop plans on #1 and they were ok, but I think the free plans here and all of the help available here are a lot better. I did find a few miscalculations (dan't remember where) in the DT plans. I had abought DT plans because at the time they where the only ones I could find with a full size template. Also check out the design library. With a cad program and some experimentation I was able to resize the cub design to my desired dimensions for #2.

When I first started on my tear, I thought I needed to purchase plans, I wound up using tons of ideas from this website and the plans I bought were of very little use.
If the plans you find here don't have the exact profile, galley layout, width, etc., etc., that's fine too! Half the fun is making your trailer a one of a kind by mixing and matching various designs and coming up with your own ideas.
