Carrier AirV low Profile RV Air Conditioner??

Postby Siouxgirl2 » Thu Jan 07, 2010 3:20 pm

Has anyone used this type of air conditioner on top of a teardrop? It is sold through JCWhitney.com. Does anyone see an issue with using this over a window type unit? I live in AZ so an air conditioner is a must for me and I need to come up with plan before I get further into the build. Thanks for your input.

That would be a lot of A/C. How big is your teardrop and usually don't spend that much time in them except to sleep. I live in AZ also and head to the high country in the summer where nights are comfortable. Here are some RV A/C units http://www.bigdiscountrv.com/_catalog_5 ... nditioners

Yes, you are correct. I actually just looked and realized that I wasn't looking at the whole unit but at the ceiling assembly. I am back to doing a wall/window 5000 BTU unit. Any recommendations on quiet and reliable one?

You might want to look at the petcool units.

What size tear do you have?

It'll be 6' x 13'. It's Steve's Rondack's plans.
