That's pretty cool...I've never done anything like that...anyone know how long it would take and how much it would cost to produce a shell???

Depending on the quality of the molds, Dave ...

... you might be able to knock out a shell a day in production conditions. Two days would allow the molds to live longer, but if you wanted the highest quality parts, figure four-to-five days. Of course, that depends on whether you chose to hand-lay the 'glass or if you had a chopper-gun handy. Best, strongest, & lightest is hand-laid.

Costs would depend on type or resin chosen (polyester, vinylester, etc.) and whether hand-laid or chopped, also number of layers and whether you decided to add any foam-core for strength & insulation. You'll pay higher prices if you get your materials one trailer at a time, obviously, so if you are considering any kind of production, you might want to factor in bulk quantities of 'glass, resin, & gel-cote. I seriously doubt that you could get away with anything less than $1,500-$2,000 for the first unit ... but I could be wrong. If you are interested, contact the seller ... I'm sure he could offer some kind of a better idea.

Lots to consider, there ... ...! Might be worth seriously considering if you are already set up for, or have access to, fiberglass production facilities/equipment.

I haven't seen one of these units, personally, but I have heard good things about them ... :) ...!

CHEERS!

Grant

I was going to bid on them, but the distance is too great for me.

I think I'm going to make my own plug for a Fiber glass top and then make the sides MDO or such.

I asked the seller some questions and was not satisfied with his answers..soo.
