"Molding" on a teardrop

This question is for those of you who added molding to the outside of your teardrop (and have an aluminum skin roof). Below are two pictures of what I mean (thanks to Dave and Scott & Sharon for the pics I appropriated temporarily).

It looks like you've installed the aluminum edging after you put on the molding. The molding appears to be about 1/4 inch wide. Did you have to get special edging wide enough to accommodate the extra width with the molding, or does the usual stuff work?

Thanks,

Kelley

My teardrop has an aluminum roof with painted wood sides. I used regular RV insert trim. It was fairly easy to install and looks great. I used white insert to match my roof but it comes in other colors as well.

It would work with a woody with molding also. The regular stuff would work just fine if your aluminum goes from edge to edge.

Just one option.

Mark thanks for posting those pics. I am milliseconds away from putting my molding on and your pics helped out a lot!

Thanks!

I don't mean to hijack the thread but here are a couple of more pictures in case they help. I did a lot of trimming where the hurricane hinge was.
