Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hello all, I'm new here. I have a Miata and would like to build a TD that a motorcycle could pull.

My early thoughts are 2x2 alum frame w/ 1/2 inch floor, and stub axles. A 1x1 frame for the body of the trailer skinned with Aluminum and lined on the inside with bendable luan insulated with 1 in styro. Most of these ideas come courtesy of TDparts.

I have been reading up on fiberglass and aluminum contruction and feel the aluminum is the way to go-or would double wall luan be just as good (see thats why I need advise).

Excuse me if this has been beat to death, but I didn't really find much in history searches (may have not looked for the right words)

Contact Steve Wolverton... His couper tipped the scales somewhere between 500-650 lbs. (Can't remember for sure, but it was light)
Check with Asianflava too, he did some really nice sandich construction that helped out in the weight department.
