2+2

Postby Mini Renegade » Mon Feb 08, 2010 3:33 pm

Has anybody built the 2+2 from the design library? I have just been given an old 16 foot touring caravan which I hope will provide the chassis. I haven`t seen any pics of a finished one to get a better idea from.

The 2+2 was my inspiration, but I have designed a little taller, a little wider and a little longer. I am about 40 complete. I don't know if my experience helps any.

I'm in the process of my built.
I used the basic shape of a 2&2 High design, changed some things on the interior and started building.

I have pictures of a built by Ken(?) on my laptop had home. The link in the hall of fame is dead. I'm @ work right now.:)

Couple of other folks have talked about starting a built. Maybe they will chime in......

:applause: If I wore a hat I would take it off to you. That is a beautifull build. I was thinking of a way of building twin wall and you just answered 90% of my theory questions! I was hoping to skin mine with aluminium or plastic so I will have to rethink the method.
I know where to come with any questions 8)

I used 1/4" on the outside, could easily go 1/8" or 5mm and top it with aluminum.

If Andrew has a solid model, I can render it for you...

Thanks Mike I will speak to him and find out. There are a few niggles I need to work out. I will be hopefully checking out a second-hand chassis I have to see if it is suitable to build on.
