I need to find a supplier of clear anodized aluminum! I've looked in Rich's list and sdtripper2's Index with no luck. Does anyone know who supplies Camp-Inn?

Try Industrial Metal Supply. They are mainly based in California but also has a Outlet/Warehouse in Phoenix, AZ. Their web address is: http://www.industrialmetalsupply.com/

Have you given thought to looking for a laminate supplier? The one by me
has some aluminum to choose from.

Lou, you'll find that most have alum sheeting but not anodized aluminum.

you aren't likely to have any luck in the 5x size, however I can give you some sources for 4x 8, 10, 12 in clear anodized .025..

Laminate, as in counter top material. There is a laminate company by me in Kenosha Wi. that makes cabinets, counter tops, furniture. They used to sell sheets of aluminum, I don't know if they still due because it's been a while since Ive asked. Look for something similar by you, a factory setting. Here is one example.

You might try SAF. They used to have free shipping if the order was of a certain size - typically what it takes to "skin" a teardrop.

Yea your right. I too have found plenty of 48" X 120" anodized but I need 5ft. In fact, 60" X 120" mill finish is not to difficult to find but it scratches to easily. Or should I say that even with a mask on both sides, it had been scratched from the mill. I could live with the mill finish if it would arrive to me in deceent shape. Does anyone know of a supplier that will handle these mill sheets with kid gloves?

Well my alum roof was .062 x 5' x 12' with protective film attached to the good side. Cost a couple extra bucks for the protective film but was worth it.

I got my 5x10 mill finish from Metals USA in Wichita. They have a branch in Texas:

Flat Rolled - Mesquite
227 S. Town East Blvd.
Mesquite, TX 75149
800-827-6045
972-285-8811

As I posted in my build thread, I was really impressed with their service. They bundled and built a pallet for my small order and the aluminum was nearly perfect when I picked it up. Unfortunately, it didn't stay that way for long. Oh well...Scotchbrite and a matte finish, here I come!

when we order laminates and thin metal sheet, we specify it be rolled and wrapped in cardboard. rather than flat shipped.. they have cardboard tubes at the sources we buy from just for that purpose. they're hexagonal and have a lid on both ends.. and are made for 4x or 5x. the sheets arrive defect free 99% of the time.. worth asking about when ordering...

BTW, anodized does not stand up any better than mill finish. they both scratch just looking at them crossways.
