Hi I have looked into many adhesives on the internet to see what one is the best for glueing the sides ,the spars etc. and I wanted to get other builders views.
I was thinking about the LP subfloor and deck adhesive because you can use it to o degrees. I know it is fairly thick stuff and I wonder if that is a problem with the building of a tear drop.
If anyone has worked with this or knows of something better please let me know. My shop hovers around that 37 degree mark most of the time and carpenters glue you need above 50.
Thanks

I built a lot of my trailer during the winter also. I used PL Premium Construction Adhesive (polyeurathane). The package says temperatures below 4o degrees may cure more slowly and I found that to be true. I don't think I used it all below about 35. Results have been very good so far.
Good Luck,
Mike

Here in the Arctic Cold Ive used Sikaflex Products.

Works great but you need to work fast ..

Forgot to mention I keep it in the house and when ready to use then work it quickly outside to adhere to what ever it is Im working with. It does take longer to adhere however so far so good.

Also, when I was using contact cement to hold the aluminum siding on until I could get the trim on, the cure rates were very different on the two surfaces. The plywood on the trailer was not to cold, but the aluminum skin seemed to be freezing !!!! It took some practice.

Here in Scotland we have recently had temps of - 3 and I found that gorilla glue worked fine. My workshop is just a lean to at the side of the house with a couple of tarps to keep out the wind and rain so it is quit chilly. I found that when I tried using the glue at first it was a bit stiff but after leaving the bottle in my pocket for a while it ran much better and I have had no problems with adhesion, good luck , Evan
