I was planning on having an oversized (5x12) wood exterior on the trailer I'm building by splining together some pieces of plywood.

I haven't been impressed by the quality of plywood I've found in Loews and Home Depot. It hasn't been as straight as I imagined and I'm worried that will make the splining more difficult. Also, I can't find any 1/8" ply to use for splines.

I live near Oneonta, which is (very roughly) in between Binghamton and Albany. Anyone know of a really good plywood place in this general area?

Here's a site you can search for speciality wood products retailers.

http://www.woodfinder.com/

It may not be perfect but if you just search for all in your area/distance you can call them up and it's a good start.

The best way I've found to get good ply, oversize panels is to locate a wooden boat builder and ask them where they get their ply. Browsing thru the back of woodenboat magazine might be worth a few minutes.

If you live close enough to a center of wooden boat building activity you can actually get plywood in 16' lengths that are factory pre-scarfed together.
