Holes in pipe

I am working on a new version of of our bike rack that will have a cloths rack attachment, and need to be able to drill some holes at right angles. Yes it would be nice to have a drill press and V block, but I don't and I can not justify the expense of buying them. Does any one know of a tool or technique that will let me do this?

Its all it the search term, yes that is a possibility and it looks like there are other drill guides that may well do the job with out lots of $$$$. Thanks a bunch.

Heres a program that will print out a paper template of the joint you want to cut. Just put in your tube sizes, and the angle you wish to join them at, and it does all the thinking for you.
Just wrap the template around the tube, mark it out, then rough out the opening with a drill/grinder/snips, and file to fit. I used it to make all the joints on my bikes.

just make a block of wood (whatever) that will straddle the pipe with a hole the same size as your drill bit in the centre. mark the centre of the faces so you can position the hole over where you want to drill.

Sears has a drill guide which I will pick up today for 30$. It will also let you drill at an angle. I did save the program for future use

We have two bike racks that will accommodate the tandem vertically, made of 2" aluminum conduit for the vertical and 3/4" conduit to support the rear wheel. One rack will support five bicycles and the one we use now only one.
