went to harborfreight today! bought them out of 4 inch ratcheting clamps. only got 10 and the guy ahead of me bought all of the 1/2 inch pipe clamp kits ugg.

oh well guess i have to go to harbor freight again. a different one and make the circuit lol.

also wanted to look at this stove

but they didnt have one on display.


in addition to the clamps picked up my first spoke shave.

my whole workshop at home is hand tools from 1800's
most all of them are antiques from said era but i havnt had luck finding a spoke shave. but now i have one. now to look for a round bottomed spoke shave...

anyone that has that stove care to give a review of what you think of it.

But, I picked it up this winter and have not put it to use yet. My wife likes the ability to make toast :-)

One thing of note it that it needs regulator to use it, there is not one on it.

If you want some pictures of it let me know, just sitting in the garage right now.

Can you fit a small muffin tin in that oven space? Or a pan of fish fillets to broil?

They had one on display in Lubbock awhile back. IIRC the oven part will hold about one slice of bread at a time....

ah i was thinking it was sized like a small toaster oven so you could do toaster oven cooking sheets or something.

I bouth the unit just like this but without the little oven. I did this based on reviews in this forum at the time that said the little oven wasn't used by many.

The newer unit like mine now has auto ignition, which is a nice feature.

However, my wife wanted more countertop, so 3 weeks ago I upgraded to a Camp Chef Expedition 2x, Costco, $99.00. It stands on legs beside the trailer.



It has the advantage of allowing a dutch oven to be placed over it, and the legs can go down into the grate. This proved very valuable on my last campout as I ran out of charcoal!
