Has anyone built with chip board ? ( or OSB)? I can get 5x12x3/4 chip board for 13.50 a sheet , painted white. Would it work being 3/4 ? What if it was used in a sandwich wall with 1/8 on the inside? I would like to do a 5x10 ,I have a axle with springs laying around that is just begging to built on. Any ideas? :? :?

There's a reason OSB is so cheap. It's not very structurally strong. It can chip pretty easily. It doesn't take glue and screws real well. And sometimes (not as much of a problem with modern OSB) it can swell and separate when it gets wet. Decent for subfloor, but I'd spend the extra $ and get some plywood for a TD.
