In repairing this, would you first coat the area with epoxy then fill it in with bondo followed by fiber-glassing the entire area for a final coat ?

Or would you fill the hole with bondo then then fiber-glass the area?

thanks

bondo will not stick well to wood. best to use an epoxy or polyester resin to seal it first and leave something good for the filler to stick to.

it wouldn't hurt to feather your repair area back a little further either.

Get some mill fiber and mix it with epoxy to putty consistancy then fill. After hardened, sand level with existing area.

Thanks guys!

I made it back out as the sun was setting. It was low and red enough that it didn't hurt to look directly at it.

I mixed a little epoxy and filled each hole with the it. I considered using glass bubbles but I wanted to retain the thinness and have the epoxy soak in real well.

I'll use the glass bubbles on the second coat.
