Has anyone sprayed Waterbased Polyurethane on their interior

I am getting close to the finish process of my tear build. I have most of my interior cabinetry done in Birch. I plan to stain with a lighter Honey oil stain and then to seal and protect with water based Poly or Varathane.

I have some experience with refinishing furniture in the Water based products and foam brushes and had good results but I have never sprayed it. I have a HVLP gravity feed gun and gotten good results with oil based varnishes on furniture.

Can anyone share their experience with Water Borne Polyurethane or Varathane? I am determined not to brush all those coats, nooks and crannies.

I did the inside of mine with a Wagner airless sprayer a few years ago. Used the satin Poly from Home Depot, Blue can, Minwax I believe. Worked great. I know the instructions say brush or roll. It worked so well that I was suprised there was no spraying instructions. I used 220 grit between coats and ended up with a much better finish than the same material on some doors that I brushed in the house.

I tried spraying a large area and the over spray was horrendous - But I didn't have a HVLP gun either - used three quarts for what you see. I could have used just one if I had not sprayed it.

I used the water based polyurethane on the everything. I used a cheap HF HVLP sprayer. It worked GREAT! Very easy to set up the sprayer (I only had to set it up once). Easy to clean, and it doesn't stink up the place. It also dries fast so I can get three coats on in an evening. Its a more durable finish than the oil stuff too. I won't use anything else from now on.
