Austin Hardware was a good source both on and off line.
Unfortunately they revamped their site into something nearly useless,but the good news is that they are still good by phone.

I eventually did order from them by phone and got the hinge Doug posted a picture of. I got someone helpful that sold them to me for around $15 each. I called the Atlanta branch. It is best if you order as a business.

I have a "lifetime" supply of LH (they go on the LH side of a door).

Can't remember but you can get some from me if you like.

You have to open the door 180 degrees to get past the latch that keeps the door from lifting off. You could modify so you could take the door off earlier by grinding a bit with a carbide burr and a die grinder.

They measure 3.5 " by 1.5 inches not including the pin protrusion.

I already sent you a PM but I'll put this out for those that are interested.

The bullet (or torpedo) hinges I used work great and I love them. Very strong and easy to lift off the door if you need to. Here is a pdf on the hinge specs:

They come in 2 hole and 4 hole models, I used the 4 hole models. If you want the 2 hole ones, just look it up by the model number on the Moore website.

You have to request a quote for the prices. They aren't cheap but I think they are worth it.

You would be amazed by how much free crap I have been able to get my hands on just by sending an email from my work account and modifying my signature as needed. Just ask for a sample, a lot of the time you get it. I got a quart of epoxy as a sample by asking with my maintenance tech signature, and got a free clock by asking for a sample with a "purchasing manager" signature, and a some free tape samples with a "shipping/recieving manager" signature.

I tried that but they said I had to be a business "in the trade" to get that price. For me as an individual or a company "not in the trade" it was the full price. I didn't want to deal with them anymore after that.

if by bullet hinges you mean lift-off hinges, Sea-Dog make several types and sizes. you can browse here.. Sea-Dog makes marine hardware. some brass, some chrome plated brass, and some stainless steel.. they are good quality and have good fitting pins (no slop) and are available in marine store everywhere.

here's a good source for hardware too.. they have pretty much anything you can imagine and their staff are super. if you don't see something that suits your needs, explain it to them and they will find it for you even if it comes from a competitor.. top notch place, highly recommended!

they are an industry source but they sell to the public without making you open an account nor do they have minimum order requirements..
