Well. I ordered my trailer from northern tool, it will be here at the end of May. Just starting to get supplies and materials. I am excited and scared at the sametime. Have loads of questions, will ask as they come up. I am using the Generic Benroy Plans as a base. 1st. question...on pg. 15 the first line says "The floor is built...., and xx 1x2" what does xx stand for? 2nd question, about a router, any recomendations?[/b]

I think the xx is just a number that nobody ever filled in. If using 1x2 to build a frame, space them 1 to 2 feet apart, depending on how thick your floor is. On mine I used 1x4 under 3/8 baltic birch ply spaced 18 inches apart. The floor is plenty stiff.

For a first router, the Porter Cable 690 is great. It's 1.5 HP, comes with 1/4 and 1/2 inch collets and can be gotten with a variety of bases, including a kit with screw and plunge bases. Unless you're using huge bits you don't need more power than that and can usually get by with a lot less.

router bits I like to spray PAM on them .To me it seam to make the bit last longer and use a smaller router buy the best that you can pay for.
