First off; after the Dam Gathering; I've put the Palace on the back burner and pulling out the plans for The Zephyr.

I plan on using the forward, slide-out galley. Tried finding 48" slide units but don't want to lay down that kinda $$. So to anyone who has built a slide out, how did you construct the slide?

I have found the slides on popup campers to be very durable. They take a bit of time to salvage as most are all riveted units. Worth the time and effort if you can find one to tear apart.

Charles, (coca-cola teardrop) has built a couple of side slide outs that are for a queen size bed. Also I remember another slideout. The member built his to slide out the front. The trailer was extended in the front. I think he hauled a motorcycle on the front and after it was unloaded he pushed the front slideout on a couple of pipes built into the floor of the trailer.
