anybody know where I would be able to find some of thos nifty aluminum prefab doors, usually black, mostly window?

the ones that are on a lot of the turnkey teardrops

the only ones I can find are replacements on the american teardrop website but they are like $300+

I just got back from a 40 minute drive over the state line to pick up all the windows and the door and even a beautiful bowl style stainless steel sink to build my camper all tore out from some commercial camper from the 50's or so
good quality parts they lasted this long they will be welcome in my camper.

oh and the outside trim will be coated in Herculiner like the rest of the camper so that should make them look as new as any other windows sold brand new.

I think you are going to have to shell out $300 for them unless you can get some used, or salvaged. Good luck, if you find them somewhere cheap, let us know.

with the proper sized window, a similar look can be ontained with a plywood door.

EDIT

Doesn't look like that is a plywood door, but a solid wood door, sorry.

Try this store on ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/Vintek-RV-Vintag ... Z1QQ_sopZ1

I think this is the door you are looking for. I bought one for my camper. This guy sells all kinds of things for teardrops.

I've bought windows and other items from this seller (Vintek RV) on ebay. Good seller and safely packaged and shipped the items. I also bought lots of trim from this seller at a good price and $259 with free shipping for these doors is one of the best prices I've seen. I actually bought two of these exact doors from a different seller for $250 each including shipping, and one arrived a little banged up because of poor packaging. So I would hope Vintek RV would do a better job making the small price difference worth it.

My only concern is these are the doors Little Guy uses on their trailers and nearly every demo model I've looked over the glass had separated from plastic piece you use to push the window up and down. I think this piece also has the little spring loaded tabs that hold the window at a certain height. Maybe people were just being too rough with them, but for the price you'd think they would be made a little better. They're easy to install though and waterproof.

Or try Lil' Bear: http://www.lilbear.teardrops.net/parts7.html#doors
