I need two windows, each 42" long x 18" high. They will be half sliders with screen and trim ring for 1-3/4" wall.
I have found several suppliers, but they are all rather high, like $117 to $351 each plus freight.
I found some used ones on Ebay that are close to that size(36"x15") for $33 including the UPS. That's not bad, but they do not have the screens or the trim rings.
My question is, how would you install these windows if you do not have the trim ring?

Be careful if you want to eventually put in a screen on these windows. My dog chewed one of my screens up when he was sick. I called the manufacturer to get a new one and they want $70 plus shipping for a new screen. I only paid $80 for the whole window. Too bad I didn't get a couple extra.
I mounted my windows in a 3/4 plywood door without the trim ring. I used a black window adhesive and used screws throught the outside trim to attach it to the door. Madjack recommended this method and it worked well.

Thanks Tim, I have found a supplier about 1-1/2 hours from me and he is checking right now on the availability of the trim rings for my thicker walls and the cost.
If the cost is too high or the factory does not make trim rings for the thicker walls, I will consider doing the same thing you did. BTW, what type black window adhesive did you use?

Thanks again Tim, I looked up the Sikaflex 221, so I know what to ask for now. 
Another thing comes to mind about the windows. If you install them with screws through the outside flange, how does one trim out the inside of the window? If it had square corners, it would be easy, but these windows have a radius in the corners.

I placed the windows on the doors and traced around the window. I then cut out the tracing carefully with a jig saw. When I put the windows in the resulting hole, they fit pretty well so I didn't have to trim the inside of the doors. This is easier for me since I have a 3/4" plywood door. You will probably have to do it differently with your framed door. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Ageless, I have used this stuff on some of the houses I built in the past.
If you plan to use caulk and paint, it would be ok, but my camper has pine paneling.
