Hi guys, I need a T shaped metal to go inbetween the floor and walls.

the Red is the T metal im envisioning.

I need it to cap the edge of the 2x2 floor and then go equaly as high up
it'll screw down over the top of the floor and cap the edge and create a lip that the walls will rest against.
once thats in place then I can screw the wall to the floor and have my trim all in one!

just need to find where I can buy such a metal heh. 10 ft sections.

...try a flooring supply store...it's called hatch trim or hatch molding...if you want something that will cover the entire 2"s you may havvta look for awhile for something structural, possibly your local metal supplier and it will be thick, probably 3/16 or 1/4 inch...we allow the side wall to come down over the sides and use 1x1/16 AL angle as a cleat to connect the walls/floors..................................

ya I FORGOT when I started measuring to allow for the walls to overlap the sides of the floor heh. so I switched the design a little bit.it'll still work and look nice. I just have to lay a little more sideways in the bed is all. bed will be 5ft 10 instead of 6ft this way. and im 5ft 11 heh

How much difference would there be structurally from a T metal to just capping the edge with flat bar aluminum. screwed to the edge of the floor and side of the wall?
