Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Hi all you great experts. You've helped me with problems so far, so I have no doubt you can help with this also. I want to use the same setup Mike did on his weekender. The two "I don't know what to call them" on each side of his galley hatch to secure it. I believe he uses two locks on them. I plan the same thing only I'm going to use the ones with a cam lock, eliminating the pad locks. I want a way to snug the top of the hatch also, so thinking Jeep hood latches. The ones I'm thinking of are rubber. I'm sure ya'll know what kind I'm thinking of. I'm not sure how they attach or if they will even work. Got to go to the VA hospital this morning so won't be able to write back till this afternoon. Any help will be appriciated and advice on using, maybe something other then the rubber latches.

These aren't rubber but they are what I used.





They are called draw latches and I got mine at McMaster-Carr.

thanks planovet. those are what I had in mind. I like the rubber jeep hood straps also. Going shopping for a couple today.

Ever watched the hood on a jeep at highway speeds? Looks like it is about to take flight. I wouldn't trust it to hold a seal while in tow.

dh: I'm not using them to hold a seal. That's what the rubber gasket is for. Just using them to snug it up.
