Hey guys...I'm wondering if any of you have used any of those tongue and groove styled laminate wood flooring as a interior finished floor? Seems like most of the pics I've seen are painted/urethaned plywood, vinyl sheet floors, or carpet ??? I was thinking some of those laminate parquet patterns or boards might look good, be easy to clean and pretty cheap too. Lowe's has them in the new flier for .98 - around $2 a sq ft.
Any thoughts? As always, young grasshopper appreciates the wisdom of the council!

It would look cool to have a wood laminate floor. Just remember who is going to see it when camping, the mattress covers the entire floor, use the money for something else for the teardrop that you might want to have instead. hey it's your project build it how you want

Yes, I used laminate flooring in my tear, check out my album. I found the stuff, close to the color I wanted 40% off at Home Depot. beware however if you are building a really light weight tear, it adds a lot of weight. I'm not worried about it though. I wanted a nice floor even if it is going to be covered with a mattress. I even did mohogany molding around the floor as a baseboard too. Galley floor is done also. I didn't glue it down, it floats.. Woody is right, who is going to see it? Probably no one, but I know it's there and it'll look damn good when I take the mattress out to clean it. I thought of it as a finishing touch.....Doug Hodder

I've seen it in the galley of a tear on this site. Looks very nice. Pergo makes a line called Pergo Select that is more tolerant to moisture. Even guaranteed for bathrooms. I used it in my house and it looks great.

We used it on the galley counter top in our 2nd tear. Of course one box covered 15 sq. ft. With a little left over our counter top cost $39 but we chose it over some small tile we had because the tile was so heavy. Will probably use on floor if we build another. Beautiful stuff.
