I picked this up at homedepot, but after reading some of your posts I'm not sure if this is the right stuff, have any of you used this before?

Waterproof is the goal and this will work. It probably cost more than the tar stuff. Henry's is about $7 a gallon and works too. Almost anything that sticks and is water proof works.

I'm sure it would work, but I found the Henreys realy user friendly. Low oder, easy clean up...

I may be too late to help you, but if I'm not, don't get the Henry's 501.
I made that mistake and am currently covered with it, smelling like the quart of mineral spirits it took to get it off of everything. I coated the underside of my floors Thursday and fitted them on the frame today. It felt rubbery until I got it on the frame. It's the dentu-grip of the roofing materials world! It took a block of wood and a sledge hammer to align the pieces and, when I applied any finger pressure, it came off on my hands.
I'm hoping the adhesion issue will be a positive further down the road, but, in the meantime, I've got a lot of touch up painting to do.
I can only pray that this is the worst mistake I'm going to make throughout this build.
Good luck, J.
